Art has a beautiful way of bringing people together—and sometimes, it helps us care for our community in very tangible ways.
Be sure to stop by the 8th Annual Chair-ity Fundraiser Art Chair Silent Auction during Arts in the Garden on Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Downtown Palmer.
This year’s featured chair, hand-painted by Wasilla artist Cheryl Lacy, is a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art that could become the perfect addition to your home. Even more meaningful, proceeds from this year’s auction will be shared between the Palmer Museum of History & Art’s community education programs and Kid’s Kupboard, helping feed children here in the Mat-Su Valley.
Tickets are just $5 each and may be purchased from any Auxiliary member or at American Legion Post 15.
Take a few moments to admire the artistry and purchase a ticket or two, knowing that your support is helping create educational opportunities and care for children right here in our community. You just might go home with a beautiful hand-painted chair—and either way, you’ll leave knowing you’ve helped grow something good in the Mat-Su Valley.
