Finger Lake State Recreation Site is located 0.7 mile west of the Trunk Road/Bogard Road intersection. The campground offers a quiet retreat between two cities, Palmer and Wasilla. There are 24 campsites, 2 group-use camping areas, 25 picnic sites, water, toilets, and a boat launch. The recreation site provides lake access for boaters and sport fisherman. Finger Lake has good fishing for Rainbow, Arctic Char, and Grayling with access to winter ice fishing.

Boaters on Finger Lake are advised that the Mat-Su Borough enforces special motorized use restrictions that require boat motors to have mufflers, cowlings, and exhaust systems. No motors may be operated from 11:00pm -8:00am. No wake zones are in effect within 100 feet out from shoreline.

Kepler Park is located on E. Kepler Drive, at Mile 37.4 of the Glenn Highway, about 1.5 miles north/east of the Parks & Glenn Hwy. interchange.Being situated on two lakes, Kepler and Bradley, you will find a serene setting for camping, picnicking, boating and excellent trout fishing. The lakes are stocked annually by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
For over 70 years, Kepler Park has a been a favorite destination for locals and travelers alike. 

The Matanuska River Park Campground, located near the Matauska River Bridge just on the eastern edge of Palmer, features a little fun for everyone.  The campground features over one and a half miles of easy trails with exquisite views of Lazy Mountain and the Matanuska River.

A small 18 room motel with three cabins, and the only remodeled motel in Palmer. The Pioneer Motel has been a part of Palmer, Alaska since 1953. We are a small 34 spot RV Park and Campground located just under three miles from downtown Palmer in the historic agricultural district. The Springer road system winds between potato, carrot, barley, and hay fields bordered by a panorama of towering mountains. Our RV Park and Campground enjoys majestic views of the iconic Pioneer Peak on a comforting backdrop of still-in-use farm land. We are located about one mile from Palmer’s very own airport and flight school! During the day, all sorts of interesting planes can be seen flying in and out of the area.
