Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. Multiple #1s on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart. These are just some of the accolades that have cemented Mastodon as one of the most iconic rock bands of the modern era.

Mastodon’s music has left its mark everywhere—from Game of Thrones, Adult Swim, and The History Channel to DC Comics films, Coachella and Bonnaroo.

Since emerging in 2000, the Atlanta quartet has released critically acclaimed albums such as Leviathan, honored by Rolling Stone as one of The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time; Crack the Skye, named one of the best albums of 2009 by Time; and Hushed and Grim, which marked the band’s third consecutive #1 debut on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart and featured the Grammy-nominated “Pushing the Tides.” Mastodon has also scored three consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with The Hunter (2011), Once More ‘Round the Sun (2014) and Emperor of Sand (2017).

With six career Grammy nominations, the band took home the award for Best Metal Performance for “Sultan’s Curse.”

Following a massive 2024 arena tour with Lamb of God in celebration of Leviathan’s 20th anniversary, Mastodon is hitting the road once again—this time alongside Coheed and Cambria, with special guests Periphery, on the Infinite Arc Tour.
